Sid Ryan believes that instead of relying on the failed model of so-called “Public-Private Partnerships,” Canada should develop a Social Investment Bank that would put billions of dollars into affordable social housing, green energy projects and other important social services to create jobs, increase economic growth and build a more just and democratic country. And the New Democratic Party, along with its allies in the labour union and progressive movements, should lead in this most important endeavor.
